Anna Greenspan, OTL-R
Anna Greenspan is an Occupational Therapist with 25 years of experience. Throughout her career, she has evaluated, treated, and developed plans for children with various abilities. The diagnoses she has worked with include Autism, PICA, ADHD, Prader-Willi syndrome, Down syndrome, Intermittent Explosive Disorder (IED), Anxiety, OCD, and Oppositional Defiant Disorder (ODD), among others.
As the Director of the Occupational Therapy department, Anna had the opportunity to work with and train many occupational therapists and lead interdisciplinary clinical decision-making processes. She has also played a key role in educating families and other professionals about environmental modifications, sensory supports, and desensitization programs to enhance engagement and participation in life experiences.
In addition, Anna created a program for a school serving 43 students with diverse abilities, acting as the Program Director. In this role, she trained staff, developed plans, and collaborated with families and other professionals. Her inspiration comes from the success and progress she has observed in both her students and her colleagues.
Anna has been a guest speaker at conferences, presenting on topics such as expanding community experiences for autistic children, facilitating participation at school and in the community, autism and self-regulation, relationship building, embedding sensory supports into experiences for autistic children, and a desensitization approach to autism in the community.
Currently, Anna lives in Cleveland, OH, where she continues her journey of educating families and communities while treating children with diverse abilities.
